What is Air Hockey?

Air Hockey brings the arcade classic to your phone: a neon table, a puck that slides fast and two mallets to hit it. Move your mallet in your half, block shots and fire the puck back hard at the opposing goal, using the side walls. The computer adapts to how you play: if you're winning easily it gets quicker. Two players can share one screen, each with a finger in their own half.

How to play

• Move your mallet (red, at the bottom) with your finger or the mouse, or with W A S D or the arrows: it always stays in your half.
• Hit the puck with the mallet: the faster you move, the harder the shot; the puck bounces off the side walls.
• Get the puck into the opposing goal at the top to score; after a goal the puck restarts still in the half of the player who conceded.
• The first to 7 goals wins. Against the computer each goal is worth 10 points, plus a bonus if you win.
• Two players: each player touches and moves the mallet in their own half of the screen (on a computer: player 1 with the mouse or W A S D, player 2 with the arrows).

Tips

• Keep your mallet in front of your goal when the puck is in the other half.
• Bank your shots off the walls: a puck coming in at an angle is harder to stop.
• Don't chase the puck behind your mallet: you risk an own goal.
