What is 15 Puzzle?

The 15 puzzle is the sliding-tile puzzle invented in the 1800s: a 4×4 frame holds 15 numbered tiles and one empty space. By sliding the tiles into the empty space you have to put them back in order, from 1 to 15. Every game starts from a shuffled layout that can always be solved.

How to play

• Tap a tile next to the empty space to slide it (or use the arrow keys).
• Put the tiles back in order from 1 to 15, with the empty space in the bottom right.
• Your score is higher with fewer moves and less time.

Tips

• Sort out the first row first, then the second: the last two rows are solved together, column by column.
• Don't break up the rows you've already finished.
