What is Magnet Rescue?

Magnet Rescue is a rescue and reflex game with real physics: the MagnetoGames magnet, with its big googly eyes, hangs from a crane that runs back and forth above a river. Hold the screen, click or press Space and the crane stops and lowers the magnet; let go and it rises again. Floating in the river are friends with a metal part, like the puppy with a tag, the kitten in a tin bucket, the duck with a bolt, the robot, the penguin with a little pot and the astronaut hamster: the magnet pulls them in and hooks them by itself, then you swing them over to the rescue base on the bank, watching out for rocks, logs, the hopping crocodile log, lava bubbles, icicles and asteroids. You cross five zones, from the river to the waterfall, the volcano and the ice cave all the way to the space station with low gravity, with combos, stars to collect and slow motion when a friend gets through by a hair. Every day there is a Daily Mission, the same for everyone in the world, with only one attempt that counts: compare friends rescued and stars and share your result with emoji. How to play

• The crane runs back and forth along the beam by itself: hold (finger, mouse, Space, down arrow or A on a controller) and the crane stops and the magnet goes down; let go and the magnet rises and the crane moves again.
• With a keyboard or controller, the left and right arrows send the crane that way (holding them makes it go faster).
• The friends in the river have a metal part: when the magnet gets close it pulls them in and hooks them by itself.
• Carry the hanging friend to the rescue base on the left bank and lower: as soon as it touches the base it is safe.
• If the hanging friend hits an obstacle (rocks, logs, the hopping crocodile log, lava bubbles, icicles, asteroids) it comes loose and falls into the water with its life ring: you lose a heart. You also lose a heart if a friend reaches the end of the river without being picked up.
• You have 3 hearts; 5 rescues in a row win one back. The game ends when you run out of hearts.
• Each rescue is worth 1 star plus the combo (rescues in a row, up to +4); also grab the stars in the air with the magnet or the hanging friend, and if the friend brushes past an obstacle without touching it, it's a «Close call!»: slow motion and +1 star.
• The zone changes every 8 friends: river, waterfall, volcano, ice cave and space station (low gravity); in free play, after space you start again from the river, faster.
• Daily Mission: 40 friends in 5 zones, the same for everyone in the world; only your first attempt of the day counts (even if you reload the page), then you can replay it for fun; a new mission arrives at midnight (UTC).
• Free play: endless, and your star record is saved on this device.
• Share your result: the game prepares a short text with friends rescued, stars, the zone reached and the friends' emoji to send to your friends; it sends no data.

Tips

• Hold a moment before the crane is right above the friend: the current carries it toward the magnet.
• Once you've caught it, let go right away: the magnet rises and the friend passes over rocks and logs.
• When the crane stops suddenly the friend swings: wait for it to settle before passing near obstacles.
• The base is at the end of the beam, on the left: the crane pauses there for a moment, which is the right time to lower.
• Play the Daily Mission every day to grow your streak.
